We have now found stud cats for both Gretel and Peanut. Gretel will be going to see her boy in the next few weeks whereas Peanut will be waiting until the middle of next year. We will not be taking reservations until we are sure Gretel has fallen pregnant. Keep checking this site for info or become a site member.

Early this morning Gretel gave birth to five beautiful, boisterous babies. Everything is fine and she has taken to motherhood splendidly.
Well done Gretel!

The time for Gretel's kittens to be born is nearly here. She is due around 25th April and spends most of her time eating, waddling about and trying to find a comfortable position to lie in.She's even more affectionate to us and if it's possible, seems to have a very content look on her face. We felt a bit of a kick today- how exciting!

We have now chosen a stud boy for Gretel. We have followed the advice of some more experienced breeders and have gone for a Canadian who is a fresh breed line. He is wonderful looking and has a good character. So we should have a litter of gorgeous softies! She is due to visit him when she turns one, then her kittens will be due at the end of January or beginning of February. Fancy one? Why not give me a call, a text or an email and I'll be happy to chat about it with no obligation.

Unfortunately Gretel has had a little accident last week and has subsequently missed the TICA show in Leicester on the 31st May. I'm just happy that she's OK.
She managed to jump onto a metal shelf in the kitchen and hang herself by her leg! Luckily we were in the next room and rescued her within seconds. The vet was worried that she had a fracture but it quickly turned out to be a sprain, thank god. I have had a few sleepless nights watching over her.
She is a very good patient! The vet didn't even charge us for the second visit- I think it's because she has a soft spot for Gretel. She had a little trouble examining her because all she could do was purr and roll around on the examining table.
The shelving has now been moved out of her way, in addition to removing toys with string before we leave the room, unplugging all appliances so she doesn't tie herself up, checking the toilet lid is always down at all times etc, etc.
Snowshoes are definately adventurous- thank god they are so affectionate, funny and adorable!

Gretel has come into season- sooner than I thought she would. Many breeders don't breed their cats until they "call" for second time or reach 11-12 months. We will definately be waiting- she's still very much a kitten.
It's not as bad as we thought it would be- she's just making adorable purring, miaows and rolling about on the floor. Her best friend, our moggie Teacup, rolls about with her and copies.
